Kate and Sachin found each other on December 31, 2007.

You could call it New Year's Eve, but Sachin didn't work up the nerve to talk to Kate until after midnight, so it was more like New Year's Day 2008.

It was smooth sailing after that. They moved to San Francisco in December, 2008 and got engaged in October 2009.
